Shop Info:

***The items in my shops are NOT intended for children!*** My creations are for young-at-heart adults; for example the dolls are art dolls, not play dolls (they all have small and/or sharp parts), and the costume accessories (horns, ears, etc) are crafted to fit adults; these also either contain sharp parts (the wire in the ears, for example) or are fragile (the clay horns).
Due to CPSIA regulations, please keep all items away from children under 12.

By purchasing the handmade items in my shops, you acknowledge reading the policies and agree to not hold Elfling Creations responsible for any and all liability that may arise from using said items.


    As a note, no humans model the earrings- I have a lovely mannequin to do that.

Everything is also from a smoke-free home. We do have a cat and dogs, however, so some hair could end up in things (especially yarn). They aren't allowed to sleep in the art supplies, but this is a warning in case you're highly allergic to animals.

Contacting me:
    I always reply to the emails I receive right away and will send a message about your order within two or three days letting you know the shipping status. If you're expecting a message from me (or if you just made a purchase) and haven't heard from me yet, please check your spam folder in case it's hiding in there (I've been having some problems with my gmail emails not reaching their destination correctly). Feel free to contact me again if you have any questions or if you haven't heard back. :)

Custom orders:

    I do custom orders; in fact, I love them! If you're on Etsy or Artfire, feel free to message me there and request an item that way. However, if you don't have an account on those sites, just send me an email and we can plan it out that way. When I'm finished the item, I'll list it on Artfire (you don't need an account to purchase from that site) with pictures and detailed information.

 ***Depending on the price of the item or how custom it is, I may require a deposit before I begin creating it.

Specific custom info:
I can make things single or as a pair (like an earring, wristband, or handflower), and for earrings I can use clip-ons (for the earlobe) and cuffs (for the cartilage) instead of pierced posts. For a few dollars extra, I can also use Sterling Silver posts and wires for earrings.

*I can also switch out pierced posts with clip-ons/cuffs or vice versa for already listed earrings for no additional cost. Just let me know!*

If you'd like a custom plushie/doll, I'd need a detailed description of  what you'd like it to look like- or better yet, a few photos or pictures if possible (for instance, if it's based off you or a tv character, or whatnot). See the bottom of the dolls page for more information on custom dolls.

Note: I will only make cute plushies- nothing from horror movies or that are disturbing, gross, maimed, or otherwise not pleasant. I don't want to look at those photos to base it off of, and I don't want to have to crochet it. Sorry! I'm sure you can find someone else to make dolls for you if that's your kind of thing.

Sales Tax:
***For PA Residents:***
Please note that I have to charge a 6% sales tax to Pennsylvania residents (this is also on shipping; unfortunately shipping is taxed here, too, if the item is taxable). If you're purchasing from my shops on Etsy or Artfire, this should factor directly into your order if you're from PA.

Payment:
    I take Paypal, Google Checkout, Amazon Payments, and money orders. Payment is expected soon after a purchase (within the next day or so for the first three, and soon after for money orders). If you send a money order, the item won't be shipped until I receive it.

I always send a message to let you know that payment was received and the item is being shipped.


Shipping:

    I ship almost everything in a well-padded envelope; things that are too large or awkward for that (like my runes and dolls) get shipped in a well-padded box. I reuse packaging whenever possible.

    US Shipping: I ship everything USPS First Class to keep the shipping cost as low as possible. I automatically insure my dolls and blankets (since those are One-of-a-Kind items), but if you would like insurance for the other items in my shop, please contact me as it will cost a bit more.
    International orders: For other countries I ship First-Class International; if you would like the items to be insured, that would cost extra, as well. If you would like this option, please contact me.
    ***NOTE:*** Please note that if you opt not to have the package insured, it is at your own risk and I cannot replace the order or issue a refund if it is lost! The customer is responsible for any and all customs and duties fees.

    Shipping is also a pain to calculate correctly, so if the shipping ends up costing less than you were charged by $1 or more, I'll refund you the extra amount you paid.

    I combine shipping, and I try to ship orders out within 2 or 3 days of payment clearing (custom items are shipped once they are finished).

Return policy:

    I work hard at what I do to give you the best possible product, but keep in mind that everything is handmade. I also list a detailed description of the items (measurements, materials, pictures, etc) so you know what it is you’re purchasing, and I pack everything with care. If you have any questions please contact me before buying, and I can give you whatever info you need.

That said, I will accept returns within two weeks of you receiving the item, but the item has to be in a never-used condition. (Also, please let me know if something’s wrong ASAP.) If for some reason you are unhappy with your purchase, please contact me before you mail it back so we can discuss the transaction. I promise that I answer my emails right away. I will refund your money as soon as I receive the item back (however, I can’t refund shipping).

        There is one exception to returns: I cannot accept earrings back for sanitary reasons. I hope you understand.



Why is the art not for sale directly from this site?
   
    Unfortunately, I don't have the money or the visitors to justify having a shopping cart directly on this site. However, I can make this up to you somewhat!  Almost all of my items are available in my Artfire shop (if you see something on this site not listed there, I can add it there for you; just ask!), and with Artfire, you don't need an account to shop on that site- you can just check out without ever signing up. How cool is that?
